Waltrip students students who attended at least three Houston World Affairs Council events were honored April 2 at the Junior League of Houston. Each was given a certificate, presented with Student Diplomat T-Shirts, and became eligible to apply for the $2,500 scholarship to be awarded at the James Baker Luncheon on April 17.

Happy, happy birthday to Bess Witovec who celebrated her 95th birthday on Feb. 22. She was a Lazybrook resident for 47 years before moving to the Hampton at Pinegate. Bess celebrated her special day with family and friends who said, “We love you and wish you many more!”

Oaks Dads Club would like to thank everyone who came out and worked together on ODC’s annual Clean Up Day. ODC President Sean Jez reports that over 150 parents came out on a beautiful sunny Saturday recently and helped get the fields and facility ready for the Spring 2013 Season.
