About Us
St. Stephen's UMC has just celebrated our 61st year in this community. As Oak Forest has changed over the years, St. Stephen's has continually refreshed and renewed along with this neighborhood. We have a dynamic Men's ministry, a healthy Missions agenda, an over the top VBS program, and a lively couples ministry to name a few of the wonderful things going on at St. Stephen's. We steadily strive to create opportunities for Oak Forest to know who Christ is and help make Him known not only in Houston but throughout the world. We look forward to being a part of what God is doing in our community and hope to see you soon. We're located on 43rd just east of T.C. Jester.

Johnson Memorial School at St. Stephen's United Methodist Church Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for three and four year old children to learn, play, and worship together in a Christian atmosphere. There is cooperation, democratic living and an opportunity for children to gain new skills and appreciation, to make new friends, to form good habits and to learn to be responsible members of a group.
