Houston arson investigators are working to determine the origins of a fire that damaged a house in Acres Homes last weekend, according to the Houston Fire Department.

Nobody was reported hurt in the fire, according to the department.

HFD crews from stations 4, 67, 58, 50, 31, 13, 62 and 30 arrived to find smoke coming from a one-story house in the 6300 block of Joe Louis Lane in Acres Homes just after 7 p.m. on Aug. 8, the department said.

The fire was contained within minutes, according to HFD, though it did cause an estimated $20,000 in damage to the home according to the department.

Investigators are still trying to determine what caused the fire, according to HFD.
