Pet food drive

The Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office will host a pet food giveaway from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday at the HCC Pinemont Center, located at 1265 Pinemont Dr., to help pet owners in need of food for their furry friends.

According to a news release from the constable's office, it and the Houston SPCA will give out 1,000 dog and cat meals for owners, provided by Kansas-based Hill’s Pet Nutrition as well as community donations, during the drive-through event.

"The year-long pandemic continues to impact many residents, including those with pets who find themselves in dire need of pet food," the constable's office said. "The joint distribution is in response to this critical need in our community."
