Houston police say they arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing his parents in Independence Heights last week.
Nickie Costello, 35, has been charged with capital murder in the stabbing deaths of 50-year-old David Morgan and 56-year-old Juanita Costello, according to the Houston Police Department. Nickie Costello has been denied bond, according to Harris County court records, and remained in jail as of Tuesday morning.
Officers responded to a stabbing call at an Independence Heights home at 308 E. Tidwell Rd. around 9:20 p.m. Oct. 12 to find Morgan and Juanita Costello unresponsive with multiple stab wounds, according to HPD.
Nickie Costello allegedly tried to flee the scene in a car but crashed, police said, before being taken to a hospital and subsequently charged in the incident.
