Houston police say they are searching for two people involved in the fatal shooting of a man early Monday at a Greater Inwood apartment complex.

The victim, whose identity is pending verification by the county’s medical examiner, was pronounced dead at the Texas Medical Center, according to the Houston Police Department.

HPD said the victim was seen walking into the Oak Woods Apartments at 5625 Antoine Dr. around 1:40 a.m. Monday. Two suspects, described only as Black males by police, were also seen in the area shortly before tenants of the complex heard multiple gunshots and called 911.

One suspect was described as tall and thin and wearing all black, police said, while HPD said the other had a medium-sized afro hairstyle. According to police, the suspects were seen fleeing the scene immediately following the shooting, and multiple shell casings were found at the scene.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
