Houston police say they are investigating an incident that resulted in a man being fatally shot in the Heights earlier this week.

The victim, 35-year-old David Cobb Jr., was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.

HPD said officers arrived at a townhome at 2806 Princeton St. just after 7 p.m. Wednesday to conduct a welfare check after one of Cobb’s family members told investigators they had not heard from him in several days.

Upon entering the home and finding Cobb, police discovered that he had been shot to death, according to HPD.

There are no known suspects or descriptions of any suspects, police said.

Anyone with information in the incident is asked to contact HPD’s Homicide division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
