Houston police are searching for the person who shot and injured a man near a Greater Inwood convenience store last week.

The victim, an 18-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower back according to police. A 15-year-old boy who was with Sanchez was also taken to the hospital with a large laceration, police said, but was not shot.

The victim told investigators he was leaving Gemaire Distributors in Greater Inwood, police said, when he noticed his vehicle was being followed by a green or tan colored sedan.

The man told police someone in the sedan began shooting at him, according to police.

Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact HPD’s Major Assaults & Family Violence division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
