Houston police say they are investigating a fatal shooting in the Kempwood area last week.

The victim, 40-year-old Gerardo Abadie, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to the Houston Police Department.

Officers responded to 3100 Blalock Rd. around 6:30 a.m. Sept. 7 to find Abadie unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a car parked near the intersection of Blalock Road and Kempwood Road, according to police. HPD said he had suffered an apparent gunshot wound to his lower body.

There are no known witnesses or motives in the shooting, according to police.
