Houston police say they are searching for a man accused of shooting and hospitalizing another man and his 10-year-old son during an apparent road-rage incident along the Loop 610 access road in February.
Tyric Davis, 22, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection to the shootings of 40-year-old Emiliano Garcia and his son, according to the Houston Police Department. Davis remains at large, police said.
HPD said Garcia was driving near the 300 block of North Loop West, between North Shepherd Drive and Yale Street, just before 3:30 p.m. Feb. 10 when he attempted to pass another driver but was cut off.
Police said the other driver, suspected to be Davis, allegedly pulled in front of Garcia’s car and suddenly braked before allegedly pulling out a gun and firing toward Garcia and his son, who was a passenger. Both were shot.
The two vehicles then collided, police said, but Garcia managed to keep driving to a hospital.
Davis was charged with aggravated assault on Aug. 6, police said.
Anyone with information in this case or on Davis’ potential whereabouts is urged to contact HPD’s Major Assaults & Family Violence division at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
