Houston police say they are investigating a shooting outside a Greater Inwood restaurant that killed one man and put several others in the hospital last week.

The Houston Police Department said 25-year-old Jesus Meza was pronounced dead at an area hospital, while five additional victims – three men and two women – were also taken to a hospital. One of the women was in critical condition, according to HPD, while the other four were in stable condition.

Police said officers responded to a shooting call at Sammie J’s restaurant at 9717 N. Houston Rosslyn Rd. around 8:40 p.m. last Thursday, July 22 to find multiple victims with gunshot wounds.
