Police say they have arrested a man suspected of shooting and killing a woman while injuring two other people at a local apartment complex last week.
The Houston Police Department said 40-year-old Tayo Brown has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in connection with the incident. One victim, 41-year-old Lashanda Pace, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two victims were taken to an area hospital in unknown conditions, according to HPD.
According to HPD, Brown allegedly shot Pace and a man at the entrance of the Linda Vista Apartments at 5500 De Soto St. just after 3 p.m. May 26 before walking into the street and allegedly shooting a passing female motorist.
Brown was subsequently arrested and charged, HPD said.
