Police say they are looking for a man and woman suspected of stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of windows in the Heights last week.

According to a crime alert from the office of Harris County Precinct 1 Constable Alan Rosen, deputies responded to the 200 block of West 28th Street just before 6 p.m. April 15 in response to a call about the burglary of a building.

The constable's office said investigators were told that 25 windows, worth a total of approximately $5,000, were stolen. Neighbors also told deputies they had a seen a 2005 tan or beige Chevy Tahoe or Suburban with a black luggage rack on top back into the alley between buildings three times the previous day, where they loaded windows into the back of the vehicle, according to the constable's office.

Based on surveillance video, the constable's office said the suspects are a Hispanic male standing 5-foot-11 and weighing approximately 185 pounds with a heavy black beard and a 5-4 Hispanic female weighing about 135 pounds. Both suspects are 30-35 years old, according to the constable's office.
