Police have released surveillance footage of the vehicle allegedly used by two people in connection with the fatal shooting of a man outside a Greater Inwood storage facility last month.

The victim, 37-year-old Delmettrio Gardner, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.

HPD said officers responded to Public Storage at 5685 De Soto St. around 11:40 p.m. Aug. 30 to find Gardner lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses told police that two Black males jumped out of the back seat of a white sedan and fired multiple shots toward the victim. One suspect was wearing a white hoodie, and the other was wearing a black hoodie, police said.

Police said the suspects were seen fleeing the scene in a gold or tan 2014 Chevrolet Malibu with possible Texas license plates NZF2891, according to HPD.

Anyone with information in this case or on the whereabouts of the vehicle are urged to contact HPD’s Homicide division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
