The victim, 33-year-old Charity Shirley, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police said officers responded to 2800 Vollmer Rd. just before 7 a.m. Sept. 2 to find Shirley dead with a gunshot wound. HPD said in a news release later that day that there were no known motives or suspects in the case.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call HPD’s Homicide division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
