Urban Genesis, a real estate development company specializing in urban apartments and townhomes in Texas neighborhoods, has started construction on a project at 616 W. 20th St. that the company refers to as Urban Genesis COOP on its website.
No other details could be determined before press time.
The company’s newly constructed Co-Op at Summer Street includes townhomes and apartments. Urban Genesis, with developments in Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth, recently opened White Oak Highline, apartments at 610 Oxford St. near White Oak Drive.
James Avery Artisan Jewelry opens at Northwest Marketplace
James Avery Artisan Jewelry, based in Texas, is now open in Northwest Marketplace at 13718 Northwest Fwy. The family-owned jewelry retailer has more than 100 stores in four states.
Operating hours at the new location are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon-6 p.m. Sunday, and are subject to change.
"Our associates are ready to greet customers in the new Northwest Marketplace store today," James Avery CEO John McCullough said.
Hampton Inn Houston Brookhollow under new ownership
A company called RS 12909 Hospitality LLC purchased the 81-room Hampton Inn Houston Brookhollow, located at 12909 Northwest Fwy, Biz Now reports. CBRE’S Michael Yu, Rahul Bijlani and Manasvini Sridhar brokered the sale on behalf of the seller, Highway 290 Hotel Partnership Ltd.
Warehouse property sells on Katy Freeway
TIR Investments purchased an 8,800-square foot office building at 5400 Katy Fwy., at the northwest corner of Interstate 10 and T.C. Jester Boulevard, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.
Ryan Neyland of Davis Commercial Real Estate represented the seller, Katy Freeway 5400 Ltd. A marketing flyer for the property listed it at $3.1 million and said it included 8,556 square feet of office space and 2,700 square feet of warehouse space.
Undisclosed buyer nabs industrial property
BizNow reports that an undisclosed buyer purchased a 30,200-square foot industrial property at 3815 Hollister St. in Northwest Houston.
NAI Partners’ Michael Keegan and Andrew Laycock arranged the transaction.
